The Southwest Surfers are a Beach Boys tribute band, oldies band, and surf band. Able to provide a wide variety of live music services performing oldies music, surf music, and a energetic tribute to the Beach Boys.
Our Beach Boys tribute will include all the favorites: Barbara Ann, Help Me Ronda, Surfin’USA, Surfin’ Safari , Kokomo and more. See our songlist page for a complete list.
Our oldies songs include: Runaway, Runaround Sue, Hang on Sloopy, Do you Love me, Old time Rock and roll and many other dance favorites. See our songlist page for a complete list.
We’ve recently added a number of Surf tunes to our reportoire including: Walk Don’t Run, Apache, Sleepwalk, Pipeline, Caravan, Hawaii Five O, Peter Gunn and more. Jim our lead guitarist plays these great tunes with taste and accuracy. They really bring back the old memories of being on a beach, surfin’ the waves, and hangin’ with friends.
Popular requests are either a 3 hour dance or a one hour Beach Boys tribute show. A three hour dance will include many of the Beach Boys tunes, mixed with oldies and variety music. Also called THE MOONLIGHTERS BAND, if your venue would rather have a generic name band, not featuring “surf” music.
Our one hour Beach Boys show is stricly a dedication to the Beach Boys. Dave Webb our lead singer, front man, is free to roam, encouraging audience participation, talk about cars and girls (after all, that’s what most of the Beach Boys songs are about) and do his antic’s with surf boards, Long Tall Texan’s and many funny ad libs.
This past summer we've slimmed down the band to trio size. Many venues can't afford a 5 piece band, and don't necessarily want a large group, but a trio can work into the budget and audience size. Dave, Dan and Jim have been busy performing for RV Park happy hours and Mobile Home Park dances. Our 5 piece band is available and ready to do the bigger venues, but if the trio is a better option for you, we'd love to bring the "fun, fun, fun" to your event.
